Chapter 3- This zombie steals an apple

After a few days, The little priest came back across the mountain.

He came back in the afternoon where Qiao’er was residing. The matter of dealing with this zombie had to do with the old and experienced Chong ling. Where in which he writes runes to the zombie.

When the zombie had gotten up at night, Qiao’er looked at the zombie staring at the runes. Qiao’er doubted the thing could even understand the characters on the yellow paper. Nonetheless, the zombie stood there for a while before going out.

Before going out the zombie appeared to still be worried about his toy. He went around the coffin twice to check on the toy. Only to decide to grab Qiao’er and make her stay put in the coffin, then hurried out.

After living with the creature, Qiao’er got to know it’s temperament. She learned that as long as she doesn’t try to run away, It won’t scare her as much.

But how could she not run? You can’t live a lifetime like this with a zombie.

So with the zombie out, Qiao’er tries to escape. She desperately pushes the coffin lid but to no avail, it stays in place. Qiao’er kept on trying for a long and hard time, only to finally stop and catch a breath.

The creature had taken a long time to come back. The thing was back before things could get ugly for it. He had opened the coffin and held the two apples he had to Qiao’er’s face. The zombie looked to have insisted that Qiao’er take the apples. Qiao’er had taken a minute to understand that the zombie was trying to feed her. One question had plagued her mind “Where did you get this from?”

She took the apple carefully and confirmed her thought “Is it for me?”

The zombie was extremely happy to see Qiao’er pick the apple. When he was on the other side of the mountain to make trouble for the Taoist temple there, he had seen a child. The child was picking apples from a tree. So, when looking at the child it thought that the small thing looked similar to Qiao’er. The train of thought had brought him to the conclusion of Qiao’er should also eat the apples the kid picks.

So it jumped out and scared the child away, and stole two of them.

  …

When the creature had gone out to absorb the moonlight, Qiao’er had got out of the coffin. She cleaned the apple and gnawed on it.

The next day many village people from under the mountain had woken up to their newly built temple destroyed. The uproar was brought by the knowledge of a zombie being the one behind this devastating tragedy. Not only was the temple destroyed but the master who was there also got his waist disfigured.

Of course, this made all the villagers furious. They wanted the head of that zombie! Agitated they drove the three Taoist priests that were currently there, to get that creature.

Taoist Chong Ling had to come up with a plan to calm the masses. He first took some apprentices under his care and then did a decent ritual. When it was all done he gathered a crowd and told them more information about the zombie. The people of this village were ignorant and easily swayed.

The prestige of Chong Ling Lao Dao had risen several levels with the village.

The next day, Chong Ling came to the mountain again. Still looking after the zombie in the coffin. He also changed Qiao’er’s water and food

Qiao’er hesitated: “Can you…can you give it two sets of clothes?”

Chong Ling didn’t speak, Although the little Taoist did. His name is Xiao Si, when he spoke his tone seemed to be happy. “Oh, Why are you sleeping with the zombie?”

Qiao’er was still under the zombie, but you could tell that her face was flush. The skin of the thing was touching her and the clothing was very ragged and torn, effectively making her feel embarrassed.

Chong Ling didn’t say much when he instructed Xiao Si to put the clothing sets down. “These clothes are poor quality so we can allow you to have them. On how you will put them on him, is up to your ability.”

The two eventually left. Qiao’er knew the zombie well enough to know, like how the zombie does not get up during the day. Another thing is whenever she was to move or struggle, it would just hold on to her more.

“May I help you put some clothes on?” The girl had whispered into its ear. The thing on Qiao’er laid there motionlessly while squinting at her. Qiao’er had motioned to the clothing in her hand once more “Wear… understand?”

Qiao’er had tugged at her clothing to demonstrate what it is to the thing. The zombie took notice and became curious, so it pulled at her clothes. The creature had discovered a layer of skin under the cloth layer!

It stretched out its hand to pull, Qiao’er panicked: “Don’t… don’t move!”

When she had said that, the creature retracted his nails. The hands he had on her were fiddling with the buckles on her chest. While slowly making their way down to the hem of the clothing. Only to find under it was really soft skin.

The sensation of hand to skin was much more pleasurable than touching skin. It had fumbled curiously under the clothing.

Qiao’er was anxious and panicking, but she dared not to move. If she did move it could cause the zombie to easily tear through the clothes.

It squinted, stroking her belly lazily. Moving its hand up her stomach, curiously.

Qiao’er caught the hand sliding up with a burning face and tears in her eyes: “Let go you shameless, pervert*!”

Fortunately, it was daytime and the zombie always had a bad mood during this time. It only played with Qiao’er for a moment and then went back to sleep. Since then, Qiao’er dared not to mention wearing clothes.

When a thunderstorm came in the evening, the zombie tried to stay inactive in the coffin as much as it could.

Lightning illuminated the entrance of the cave, and thunder rumbled.

It had hugged Qiao’er tightly. Qiao’er had felt uncomfortable and tried to get out of his arms. All the zombie did at that moment was lower his head to her ear. Qiao’er couldn’t see its lips but, hear the thing whisper. It seemed to be saying something.

Qiao’er naturally wasn’t able to discern what it was saying but, he didn’t seem to be angry. So, she had gradually calmed down and let the thing hold her.

The rain was getting harder and harder. You would think you could hear it from heaven to earth. The cave was in a tall mountain so Qiao’er wasn’t worried about water flooding them. The rain outside seemed to create a curtain of water in front of the entrance. The sounds coming from outside of the thick cave walls was from the lightning that seemed like an ax cutting the night. Soon the darkness came again and the zombie clung onto Qiao’er motionlessly.

The zombie from next door was so shocked by the thunder, that it ran away. It came jumping out of the cave into the mountains wildly. Qiao’er only saw it go from the entrance of the cafe. Her heart was chilled and all she could do it lean into the creature that was with her.

The last thunder had struck making the earth tremble.

Chong Ling hurried to the mountains. He came to the cave with Qiao’er first only to be relieved when he saw both of them. The other zombie so to be fine too. Chong ling looked like he wanted to complain.

The two zombies looked like they had gotten split after hearing all the thunder. At the moment they could be compared to a piece of char.

In the latter half of the night, the rain had stopped completely.

The summer weather is fickle. The day had ended and the moon came out in the blink of an eye.

The zombie had absorbed some of the moonlight it could get coming in from the entrance. Qiao’er had pulled the zombie out of the coffin and led it to the springs. She did that so she could wash the things clothing. She looked closer at the zombie and thought that he was dirty. When she came over she wiped it with a wet cloth.

The water is full of yin, and so he doesn’t reject it. She only continued to wipe him down.

Qiao’er scrubbed carefully. She felt a little embarrassed by the thing that hit her legs.

This is the corpse of an adult man. Although the whole body is stiff, there are still a lot of organs.

She blushed and also wiped her legs. She then continued to slightly take off her clothes and wash them.

The thing turned his head to see a white jade-like body in the spring water. It immediately went over and touched her back. Qiao’er annoyed, patted its hand off. The zombie appeared not to get the message and continued touching her back.

Qiao’er couldn’t bear the disturbance and quickly dried the thing. She put its clothing on first and then she put her own on. Suddenly the zombie’s head turned and roared deep into the forest. This roar was different from usual, it was full of killing intent.

Qiao’er had a sliver of fear and hurriedly try to avoid what was happening. Her feet moved quickly a few steps forward. Only then did Qiao’er see that another zombie appeared in the forest. It was unclothed and had red eyes. It was mostly hidden by the mountains. The aura felt colder the more it came down.

Qiao’er hid in the shadow of the tree by the spring, and the two zombies faced each other in the forest, howling like wild beasts occupying land.

She can only judge which is it by the color of her pupils.

Although the moonlight was bright, they had fought too fast to see who was winning. In a panic, the old Chong Ling had hurriedly come to where they are fighting. He had brought three apprentices to help: “Arrange the formation, pull them away first!”

Chong ling was calm. The three young Taoist priests tried to get in between the fighting of the zombies with an ink line. To no avail, the corpses kept on. It was clear now that the green-eyed zombie was winning. It had took its stiff arm and chopped down on the red-eyed zombie’s right arm. There was a cracking sound like cutting rotten wood.

Before the ink line was entangled, the Red Eye Zombie gave a low cry and hurried away.

The green-eyed zombie quickly ran towards the spring. Holding Qiao’er with one hand, running back to the cave.

Chong Ling didn’t pay attention to it, picking up the severed arm on the floor. The Taoist looked at the red-eyed zombie. The zombie’s level is not low but, he still feels sorry for the thing.

Qiao’er was a little afraid of the zombie. Its large ferocious fangs were still out. Not to mention its hostility has yet to dissipate. When it pressed down on to Qiao’er, she trembled.

It also seemed to feel something wrong and reached out to touch her face. Qiao’er closed her eyes tightly and turned her head to the side. After a while, it seemed to think of something. The thing had gotten up and closed the coffin when going out of the cave.

In the middle of the night, Qiao’er almost fell asleep. When the zombie had returned it had six apples!

The thing was now in a good spirit. So, he sat in the coffin and tightly hugged Qiao’er. She let him do that when she knawed on the apples.

By the next day, a farmer went to the Taoist temple and cried: “Chong Ling Taoist, you must help us. Last night a zombie went to the apple tree in our yard to steal apples, my wife was scared when she got up at night. I wet my pants…”

the old Chong Ling’s face was like 囧*.

At noon, Chong Ling found six apple cores in the cave of the Green Pupil Zombie. The many cores are neatly arranged.
